Luminosus, n.o. is a non-governmental not for profit organisation. It was founded in 2008 in order to implement regional-international projects that contribute to the social-economic development of the region of Velke Kapusany. The town lies in the Eastern part of Slovakia, one of the areas in the country which have the highest rate of unemployment and most underdeveloped economy.
Since its foundation the organisation has organised several cultural and educational events for young people and adults in the area of Velke Kapusany.
Since 2013 it also works as a ECL international language certificate examination centre.
In 2011 the organisation started its active participation in Lifelong Learning Programme. It organised vocational mobility for young people on labour market in 2011 and 2013. The organisation served as partner organisation for several Youth in Action mobility projects from 2012 in LLP and later Erasmus+ programmes.
From national grants and its own resources the organisation has recently organised smaller-scale trainings and conferences to foster youth employment and youth enterpreneurship by showing good examples.
The organisation works with 3 permanent colleauges and with several specialists and experts on a temporary base: pedagogues, psychologists, businessmen, graphic, etc.
