“Take a Step Forward!” youth exchange was held in Veľké Kapušany from 22–28 August 2025, with travel days on 21 and 29 August.

Project objectives:

• strengthen self-assertion and personal competencies
• enhance employability and competitiveness in the labour market
• writing a successful CV
• fostering the entrepreneurial spirit
• development of employability and work competences
• strengthening personal relationships

The project aimed to help young people develop self-confidence, recognise their strengths and skills, and empower them to take control of their personal and professional futures. This youth exchange helped participants to “discover their superpowers” — to identify what they are capable of and to develop essential life and professional skills. The experience provided valuable competences that increase their employability and better prepare them for the future labour market.

Activities and Outcomes During the exchange, participants took part in a variety of interactive workshops and practical sessions designed to strengthen their personal and professional skills. The programme included: • assertive communication training, • CV and motivation letter writing workshops, • sessions on the importance of body language, • guidelines for successful job interviews, and • a volunteering activity in a local kindergarten. Participants were also introduced to successful entrepreneurs, who shared their personal stories and offered motivational talks, inspiring the young people to think creatively and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
