From 1–9 July 2026, our organisation hosted the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Young Voices in Democracy" in Veľké Kapušany, bringing together young people from Spain, Italy, Malta, Slovakia and Hungary.🇪🇸🇮🇹🇲🇹🇸🇰🇭🇺

Throughout the nine-day exchange, participants explored topics such as democracy, human rights, active citizenship, volunteering and youth participation through non-formal learning methods. Interactive workshops, role plays, simulations, debates and group activities encouraged them to work together, develop solutions to local challenges, design awareness campaigns and discover how young people can create meaningful change within their communities.

Beyond gaining new knowledge and skills, the project offered participants the opportunity to experience different cultures, build international friendships and strengthen their teamwork and communication skills. Over the course of the week, the group became a close-knit international community where everyone felt encouraged to share ideas, listen to different perspectives and learn from one another.

One of the key lessons of the exchange was that democracy is much more than voting. It is about dialogue, mutual respect, shared responsibility and active participation in shaping our communities.
