

The youth exchange called IFuture took place in Slovakia between 18-23 June 2018, organized by the non-profit organization Luminosus. The exchange was attended by 41 participants, including three volunteers from Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia. The topic of the project was renewable energy sources and environmental issues, which are very important today and are in line with the goals of Erasmus +, as well as the goals of the European Union.
The aim of our project was to enable young people to become familiar with the importance and potential of renewable energy sources, to create an ecological approach in them, and at the same time to strengthen their European identity and intercultural awareness.
Project objectives:
– to make young people live more ecologically
– to learn about renewable energy sources
– to obtain information about the use, benefits and returns of renewable energy
– to learn about environmental processes (global warming, greenhouse effect) and develop an approach to environmental protection
– to develop European identity and intercultural awareness
The programs were focused on renewable energy sources. The above programs served to achieve the set goals of the project.

- watching the film „Before the flood”
- interactive discussion about the film using „mind mapping”
- exploring types of energy through articles, videos, preparing posters
- a quiz on renewable energy
- a visit to a passive house
- a visit to a solar park
- the preparation of a website that will provide information on the youth exchange carried out as well as important information on renewable energy.
