The third youth exchange, entitled “Green is the New Chic”, took place from August 28 to September 3, 2023, and was attended by young people from Spain, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia. The main topic of this exchange was environmental awareness. We talked about how to be “greener” at home. As part of the programs, we visited, for example, a bee farm, where young entrepreneurs drew our attention to the importance of bees in the food chain, but we also visited an organic garden, worked on calculating the carbon footprint, baked bread, and also learned the macramé weaving technique.

The objectives of the exchange this time were:

– strengthening the environmental awareness of young people
– reducing food waste
– reducing the amount of municipal waste produced
– acquiring intercultural knowledge
– developing foreign language skills
– strengthening European identity

The exchange was attended by 4 countries with the following number of participants:
Bulgaria: 7+2

Romania: 8+1
Slovakia: 9+1
