ERASMUS+ YOUTH EXCHANGE - 2018-1-SK02-KA105-001846 - ZERO WASTE 2018

The Zero Waste exchange took place between 10-15 September 2018 in Veľké Kapušany. Young people from Hungary, Poland and Slovakia participated in the exchange. 12 participants from each country participated, a total of 36. 7 volunteers also participated in the programs.

The aim of our project was to raise awareness among young people about environmental protection and to encourage them to choose a zero-waste lifestyle in their everyday lives. The global problems of today are climate change, food waste, the emergence of garbage islands in the oceans (e.g. the Pacific) and the increasing amount of waste in the environment, which contribute to environmental pollution.

We tried to familiarize the participants with the zero waste lifestyle. The products of the project are a poster and short videos in which the participants encourage people to adopt a zero waste lifestyle. In these short videos, the participants provide advice on how to reduce waste in households/in everyday life. Participants shared their videos on social media and on the video portal youtube.com. These channels are useful because young people share videos, information about the project and the zero waste lifestyle, and the message of our project reaches the general public.
