From 25 to 27 October 2026, the Mustárház youth centre in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, hosted the first activity of our Podcast for Youth – To Be Heard project, focusing on discovering the world of podcasting and radio production. During the three-day programme, our young participants had the opportunity to explore how Mustár FM radio operates, meet its team and connect with local young people. This gave them valuable first-hand experience and a better understanding of how radio programmes and podcasts are created.

🎧 Za mikrofónom – prvé kroky vo svete rádia

The participants learned what a radio studio looks like, how a radio programme is recorded, and which equipment and software are used for audio recording, editing and post-production. They did not just observe the process from the outside – they also had the opportunity to try recording in the studio, experiment with microphones and experience what it is like to speak in front of a microphone themselves. Meeting young people from Mustárház was another valuable part of the experience. Our participants learned from their peers, exchanged ideas and gathered inspiration for launching their own podcast channel.

This is just the beginning – soon, we will be speaking in our own voices!
