On August 5-8, we organized a training on assertive communication for local young people, led by two psychologists, Hack Orsolya Hanna and Kerékgyártó Csenge Noémi.

Psychologists have prepared a well-thought-out, step-by-step program. The first day was devoted to getting to know each other, supported by playful activities. Participants were introduced to the basics of verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as different communication styles - assertive, aggressive and passive.

During the training, the young people learnt to use these styles consciously through practical exercises, discussions and role-plays and learned different conflict resolution strategies.

Despite the summer heat, the participants showed exemplary activity and willingness to participate, rated the training as useful and expressed interest in participating in similar activities in the future.

The training was supported by the Nemzeti Együttműködési Alap programme of the Hungarian Government.
